Captain Mike Pritchard

Moving to Ventura from Fillmore when I was 9 years old. I quickly became attached to the ocean. If I wasn't at the beach body boarding, I was on one of the sportfishing boats out of Ventura. Starting as a (Pinhead) when I was 10 years old aboard the Captain Midnight, a 65'3/4 day boat got me my first taste in the sport. i spent every weekday and summers on the boats throughout Junior High and High School, finally coming to work in Port Hueneme aboard he Mirage and then on the Pacific Eagle.

Moving to San Diego in 95' I spent 3 years on the overnight boat, Producer, during this time I went to school and relieved my Captain license at the age of 20. Then in 1998 I took the job as a deckhand on the largest and nicest boat of my career, The Excel. After about a year I was being trained to become the Chief Engineer and to take BiG Dave's place. Since then I have moved up to the second Captain position, working with Pat and Shawn is a great experience and I look forward to following bird hunting, offroading, bass training and anything that has to do with the ocean.
